The tour departs daily at 8am and will last approximately 6hours.
Enjoy the natural marine sanctuary of Ballestas Island at the shore of the Pacific Ocean. Take a boat tour and explore the different island which offer great inhabit for sea lions, penguins, flamingos, eagles and pelicans.
Join your tour guide on a land tour to visit colourful sand beaches where you can swim or just walk around searching for marine creatures.
Today your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8am. We will start our excursion to the island on the Paracas Pier. The boat drive is about 30 minutes until the first island; during your adventure you will experience the best show of the marine life just a few meters from your boat.
You will return to the Pier to continue your excursion by land. You will visit the centre of interpretation of Paracas, an interesting building that displays photos of all the wildlife, vegetation, and many other important facts about the Paracas Peninsula.
Afterwards we will drive to the Paracas Peninsula, driving throughout a lifeless desert until we reach an area where once stood a great natural rock formation known as the Cathedral. Unfortunately this old formation did not withstand the 2007 earthquake that virtually left most of the cities surrounding this zone in ruins. Our local guide will give you more details about it and then you will have free time to walk along the edge of the peninsula. At this zone you will have amazing views of the desert and the blue Pacific Ocean.
Later we will return to our private vehicle and continue driving along the shore of the ocean passing the beach of Yumaque. We will then arrive in the little fishing village of Lagunillas, where you will have plenty of time to walk around and also to enjoy great Peruvian food at the many local restaurants overlooking the ocean. Finally you will be taken directly back to your hotel where the tour will end.
