Day 1:
The tour departs form Arequipa in private transportation towards Huambo Valley. This drive is Approximately 6 hours. Huambo will be the location of your first nights’ accommodation.
Day 2:
Today we will use mules to carry our gear and equipment on our hike which will take approximately 10 hours. We will make stops along the way so you can absorb the astonishing views of the Colca Canyon. We will walk through the ancient engineering trails to descend towards the Colca River. Our second night will be at Hacienda Canco.
Day 3 To Day 5:
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you will hike to visit the waterfall of Juan Pablo, this hike will provide our participants with an abundance of adrenaline and ensure you have the drive to cross the river. You will use iron cable similar to a zip line.
Following the crossing of the waterfall the exciting rafting adventure begins at the deepest canyon of the world. The first water trail will feature rapids of level III and IV, the first rafting section will last approximately 3 hours until you reach the union of the two rivers “Mamachocha and Colca”, here the strength of the Colca River will duplicate. The union of the two rivers will be the point of our base camp.
The next 2 days will feature astonishing views of the geological formation walls of the Colcan Canyon. The rafting will provide our participants with more than 100 miles of pure white water rafting of level 4 and 5. There will be a few rapids where the boats must line up together. The night camp will be in the beautiful beach sites of the canyon.
Day 6:
After a few more miles of travelling the White Water River you will arrive at Majes Valley, here your comfortable transportation will be waiting for you to take us to traditional restaurant famous for its excellent food and speciality on shrimps form the Majes River. Here you will experience the warm hospitality of the locals whom will welcome you with cocktails and beers to celebrate your incredible expedition.
Then we will drive back to Arequipa, our estimated arrival time will be 5pm.
