The rock climbing takes place in ‘Los Calambucos’, which is located in one of the canyons on the flanks of the Misti volcano, just a 30 minute drive from Arequipa.

Our experienced Rock Guides will make sure you get the most out of the weekend break. They will take you to the best crags with the most appropriate choice of routes, provide technique & performance coaching and teach good safety practices.

As the majority of the best climbing is on multi pitch routes we run these course on a 2:1 ratio, so come along with a friend or solo. We can also look to pair up similar climbers so get in touch if you are looking for a partner.


Most of the year as Arequipa has one of the best sunniest and driest weather in Peru.

Your tour guide will pick you up at 9am from your hotel; you will drive for 30 minutes towards the Calambucos Canyon. Once you have arrived, you will hike uphill for 30 minutes until you reach the first wall of the Canyon. Then you will Abseil down a 35 meter/ 114 feet cliff.

Your adventure will continue by climbing different walls of every levels of rock-climbing (Top rop and sports routes) depending on experience and physical condition of the participant.

Then you will return to Arequipa. The estimated time of arrival to Arequipa is 2pm.
