Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00am. The drive form Arequipa to Majes Valley will feature small villages located on desert areas, as well as gigantic sand dunes shaped by the wind. Upon arrival to Majes Valley you will be taken to Majes lodge where the adventure team will be waiting for you.
At the starting point of the rafting you will be given safety instruction. This exciting adventure ranges from crashing white water to gentle stretches along beautiful landscapes and rich fields of grapes along the river. After 25 km of water you will enjoy a delicious lunch at the bank of the Majes River.
After lunch you will visit Toro Muerto to see ancient rock carvings. The petroglyphs of Toro Muerto have been dated to 10,000 BC, and can still be admired in contemporary locations. Here you will ascend on sandy soil and explore step by step as every rock features incredible carved presentation on it. Your tour certified tour guide will provide you with extensive and reliable information. After visiting only some of the five thousand boulders of volcanic rocks, our transportation will take you back to Arequipa city and drop you off at your hotel. The estimated arrival time to Arequipa is 6pm.
